According to Sgt. Jason Brown during a press briefing, the incident started around 6:30 p.m., at the Dollar General located at 2004 W FM 1960 in Houston. Brown states the employees called the police after the man was caught shoplifting and pushing a manager. Deputies responded to the call and a Harris County Seargent, and a 15-year veteran with the department spotted him just south of the Dollar General. At that point, the Seargent tried to stop the suspect but he fled on foot and made it about 100 yards before the officer caught up to him. Once the officer. caught up to the suspect, a fight ensued. An e-mail was sent out over the weekend to residents of Atascocita Forest in Atascocita, TX, a suburb of Harris County, TX regarding an incident that took place on July 2, 2022, at the Atascocita Forest Swimming Pool (17415 Woodland Hills Dr, Humble, TX 77396). According to the e-mail, the two men decided to walk around the parking lot with a rifle after being told to leave the pool by lifeguards after getting into an argument with some others at the pool. A man in his late twenties was fatally shot outside a Valero gas station Tuesday evening       According to Sgt. Jason Brown with the Harris County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that at about 7:30 p.m. Harris County Sheriff Units were dispatched to a Valero in the 5800 block of Barker Cypress in Harris County to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a Hispanic male in his late twenties who was deceased from the gunshot wounds. According to witnesses, the man was seen talking to some individuals in a gold-colored SUV. While he was talking to the individuals, on the driver's side of the SUV, someone inside decided to start shooting and killed the victim in the parking lot. Executive Assistant Chief James Jones with the Houston Police Department said in a press statement that at about 7:24 p.m. on June 26, 2022, a suspect walked into a Walmart in the 4400 Block of the North Freeway where he confronted a random person in the checkout line. As he exited the store, the victim was struck once with a punch and then hit with a bat or table leg. The suspect walked out of the store and a police officer working an extra job at the store was flagged down, saw the suspect, and engaged with the suspect. According to investigators, a 7-year-old child was shot and killed during a drive-by shooting in the 13800 Block of McNair Street around 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2022 when a silver sedan pulled up in front of a trailer home in the Cloverleaf area of Houston and fired multiple shots into the home. The motive of the shooting is currently unknown. Harris County Sheriff’s Office (@HCSOTexas ) is leading the investigation.
