Police apprehended 2 suspects after they led them on a high speed chase in a black Mercedes that started around I-45 and Edgebrook around 10:30 pm on March 29, 2022 when police attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
The chase ended in the 5100 block of S. Braeswood near S. Rice, when the suspects decided to bail and make a run for it. Along the way, police say the suspects threw narcotics out the window, and a firearm was found inside the vehicle. Police arrested both with the help of a K-9 unit. The driver, who tried to run (despite a broken leg from a recent motorcycle accident) was taken by ambulance to Ben Taub.
