Houston Police shoot a man armed with a knife who was found by a stabbing victim at the Hanover – Autry Park

According to Houston Police, officers responded to an assault call in the 800 block of Buffalo Park Drive. They found a man with a knife over the victim. The man “advanced on the officers who then discharged their weapons, striking him.” Houston Police are investigating.

Update: According to HPD Chief Troy Finner, at 3:44 a.m., officers were dispatched to an assault in progress. The suspect carjacked a construction worker that was watching over the construction site overnight. As the victim was leaving, the suspect ran over the construction worker and ended up crashing into the lobby. The concierge at the front desk at the time took cover in a secondary office and the suspect crashed into the secondary office to try and get him. A second male, a citizen came into the office and the suspect stabbed him in the back. The suspect then left the office and walked down the street. Officers asked him multiple times to stop but the suspect charged at the officers. Both officers responding, shot at the suspect. The suspect was hit but will survive.
