Police are investigating a double shooting in southeast Houston that left a mother dead and her daughter in the hospital. Police believe the shooting occurred because of domestic violence.
According to the Houston Police Department, the Houston Fire Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 4500 block of Idaho St, shortly after 10 p.m.
When they arrived they found two victims that had been shot. One of these victims, a mother, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her daughter was transported to a local hospital and is said to be in stable condition.
Police are looking for the suspect which had a relationship with the mother. He is described as a black male, possibly in his 50s. He was caught on camera leaving and running from the scene on foot.
