Man stabs three people at apartment complex in southeast Houston

The stabbing of three men that occurred on March 11 at 11:25 pm at 7575 Plum Creek Drive has resulted in charges being filed against the suspect, Raymundo Velasquez Ruiz, 58. He is facing three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 230th State District Court.

Of the three victims, two aged 26 and 35 were taken to a nearby hospital and are currently in stable condition. The third victim, aged 22, received treatment at the scene and was released.

According to HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives S. Elias and V. Jones, the HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at an apartment complex located at the above address, where they found the three men with stab wounds. Initial investigations revealed that the victims were attending a family gathering when the male suspect attacked them.

Further investigations identified Velasquez Ruiz as the suspect, leading to his arrest and subsequent charges for his involvement in the incident.
