Houston, TX – May 19, 2023 – A male was found dead following a reported disturbance on Pierce Elevated around 10:00 p.m. Friday evening.
The Emergency Communications Division of the Houston Police Department initially received a call about the disturbance which led to a shooting. On arrival at the scene, officers found a deceased male with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim is believed to be in his 50s, pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
A witness who stayed at the scene told police that the suspect was driving a dark-colored truck.
The Houston Police Department is urging anyone who was near Pierce Elevated around 10 p.m. Friday night to come forward with any information. Members of the public can contact the Homicide Division or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 713-222-TIPS.
