Man dies after a head-on crash in west Houston, woman and two children hospitalized

July 18, 2023 – According to authorities from the Houston Police Department, the incident took place around 1:51 AM in the 1100 block of Highway 6. Responding officers reported that a Jeep traveling northbound crossed the median for reasons that are still unclear. After crossing the median, the Jeep collided head-on with a silver Mercedes moving southbound.

There were four occupants in the Jeep at the time of the accident – a man, a woman, a teenager, and a child. Tragically, the man was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders from the Houston Fire Department.

The other three occupants of the Jeep, including the woman, teenager, and child, were rushed to a local hospital. Their current conditions are unknown.

The driver of the Mercedes was also taken to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries remains unclear at this time.
