July 1, 2023 – Around 10:30 p.m., a fatal shooting took place after a pool party at 3131 West Bellfort Avenue, resulting in the arrest of 25-year-old Christopher McDade. McDade has been charged with murder in the 183rd State District Court.
The identity of the 21-year-old male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to HPD Homicide Division, officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address. They discovered the victim in the parking lot, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting was confirmed to have occurred following a verbal and physical altercation between McDade and the victim. McDade was taken into custody at the scene and has since been charged in connection with the case.
