Video: Two Alarm Fire at Southwest Service Center

At 1:26 a.m. on July 8, 2023, firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at a warehouse located at 9801 Harwin Dr., Houston. The blaze resulted in an estimated $110,000 in damage, but swift action from the fire department reportedly saved an additional $15,000 in property.

Responding units arrived on scene within six minutes of the initial alert to find heavy smoke and fire emanating from the large warehouse. Firefighters immediately engaged, protecting a nearby building while forcing entry into the warehouse to conduct a primary search. A second alarm was triggered, prompting additional units to be dispatched; however, these extra units were swiftly returned to service as the fire was quickly extinguished.

No injuries were reported in connection with the incident. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by HFD Arson investigators. A total of 86 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from multiple local stations, Hazmat units, and a Rescue and Rehab unit.
