A multi-vehicle collision occurred on July 7, 2023, around 11:34 p.m. in the 2600 block of FM 1960 E, Houston.
According to the Atascocita Fire Department, the crash involved several vehicles, with the vehicle likely responsible for the accident rolling over and catching fire. The driver of this vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Speeding or reckless driving is speculated as the cause of the accident.
Two elderly individuals, a male and a female both in their sixties, were extricated from their vehicle and airlifted to the hospital for emergency care. A third driver involved in the collision declined medical transport.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation.
