HOUSTON, July 30, 2023 – Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at 2101 Fountain View Drive at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Sunday. The victim, a 35-year-old male, was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital.
The victim’s identity is currently pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Officers from the Houston Police Department (HPD) Vehicular Crimes Division were dispatched to the scene following a report of a person down at the specified location.
Upon arrival, they found the victim in an unresponsive state. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Medical professionals determined that the victim’s injuries were consistent with those sustained in a vehicle collision.
At this stage of the investigation, neither the vehicle involved nor the suspect have been identified.
