Three killed when golf cart is rammed into by Escalade

HOUSTON, Texas, August 8, 2023 – Three individuals were killed when a Cadillac Escalade struck a battery-powered golf cart in the early hours of Sunday morning. The incident occurred in the 11100 block of Greenhouse Road, at the intersection of Towne Lake Parkway.

At approximately 2:46 a.m., Daniel Rivera was operating a 2021 Cadillac Escalade, with a juvenile female and adult female as passengers, when he ran a stop sign and collided with the golf cart. The golf cart’s occupants, Jacob Wnuk, Christopher Scandridge, and Fraser Anderson, were traveling north and had just made a left turn to travel west on Towne Lake Parkway when the collision took place.

Both Wnuk and Anderson were found dead at the scene, while Scandridge was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Rivera was determined to be intoxicated from alcoholic beverages and was subsequently arrested and charged with three counts of felony murder.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is continuing to investigate the incident.
