SPRING, TEXAS, September 19, 2023 – A suspect is in custody following a shooting that took place in the early hours of Saturday morning at an apartment complex in Spring.
The incident occurred at the Elevate Spring Crossing apartment complex located at 21525 Spring Plaza Drive. According to deputies, the violent encounter stemmed from a disagreement between two couples residing in the complex. The altercation escalated, resulting in two men drawing pistols and exchanging gunfire.

In the aftermath of the shooting, one man was found dead at the scene. A woman involved in the incident was rushed to a nearby hospital where she underwent surgery. Her condition remains unknown at this time. Deputies confirmed that three children were present in the apartment during the episode; however, they remained unharmed.
