HOUSTON, Texas, Oct. 3, 2023 – Houston Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 4600 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) around 12:25 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023. The identities of the deceased man, 34, and woman, 24, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer D. Thompson, the man was operating a Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle southbound near the given address at the split near South Post Oak Road. The motorcycle continued on its course on the South Loop and ultimately struck the west wall of the highway. Both the man and woman were ejected from the motorcycle and fell to the ground below.
Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced both individuals deceased.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash is ongoing. Authorities are asking anyone with information related to this incident to come forward.
