LA PORTE, TEXAS, November 13, 2023 – A major collision involving two vehicles occurred at approximately 9:55 p.m. in the 11400 block of Spencer Hwy, La Porte. The La Porte Police Department, along with Fire and Emergency Medical Services, responded to the scene.
The incident involved a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by an adult female, and a 2013 Toyota Tacoma, driven by an adult male. The preliminary investigation indicates the Silverado was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed without headlights, crossed the center line, and collided with the Tacoma. Both drivers, the only occupants of the vehicles, were found deceased at the scene.
Details regarding the identities of the deceased are withheld pending family notification. The La Porte Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team is conducting a full investigation, which will include a report from the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
