December 3, 2023 – Four people were injured, including a woman who was fatally shot, in an incident outside Legends Lounge in Houston’s Third Ward early Sunday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.
The shooting stemmed from a disturbance that started inside the club, located in the 4900 block of Griggs Road, around 1:45 a.m., when a man reportedly made inappropriate remarks to women. This escalated into an argument that spilled into the parking lot, where about 20 people were present.
Police report that at least three individuals discharged firearms during the incident. The victims included two women and two men. One of the women was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigations into the shooting are ongoing.
