HOUSTON, TEXAS – Houston Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 4300 North Eldridge Parkway around 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, December 10. A 26-year-old male, whose identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, died in the crash.
According to the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, the male was walking across the street outside of a designated crosswalk when he was struck by a black four-door SUV traveling northbound on Broadway Street. The driver of the SUV failed to stop, render aid, and fled the scene. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene.
Houston Police are seeking information on the suspect vehicle and the driver. They encourage anyone with relevant information to contact the HPD Hit and Run Unit or Crime Stoppers. The incident remains under investigation.
