HOUSTON, TEXAS – A shooting at Chica’s Cabaret, located at 9924 North Freeway, occurred around 8:08 p.m. on December 9, 2023. The incident left one male critically injured, who was later reported to be in stable condition.
Houston Police report that the male victim and another individual had entered the club and got into a disturbance with a security guard. The guard discharged their weapon, striking the victim in the stomach. The injured male was transported to the hospital by the Houston Fire Department.
The security guard is not currently facing charges, but the investigation is ongoing. The second individual accompanying the victim was arrested on a separate warrant unrelated to this case.
