HOUSTON, TEXAS, December 8, 2023 – Houston police are currently conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred on Friday night. A 17-year-old male was shot in the face during the incident.
The victim remained conscious and cooperated with officers before being transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Police responded to a shooting call in the 300 block of Rosamond at approximately 10:30 p.m. However, authorities believe that the shooting incident actually took place at a different location.
According to police reports, the teen had been traveling in a vehicle north of the incident location when they encountered three males on the side of the street. It was reported that one of the males on the side of the street discharged a rifle, striking the teen inside the car.
As part of the investigation, law enforcement officers are actively searching for the actual scene of the shooting in order to gather evidence. At this time, there is no available description of the suspect involved in the incident.
