HOUSTON, Dec. 26, 2023 – Houston police are actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at a residence on 621 Mayford Street around 1:10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24.
The identity of the 54-year-old male victim is currently pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to reports from the HPD Homicide Division, the victim was at his home playing billiards with two acquaintances. Shortly after, numerous gunshots were heard, and witnesses observed two Hispanic males fleeing the scene in a red, four-door Nissan Maxima.
Upon arrival, the Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
