HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Nov. 29, 2023 – Over six weeks after the tragic shooting of 20-year-old Malachi Lopez, his family continues to search for answers and implores the public for any information. Lopez was fatally shot on Nov. 18, 2023, on South Cashel Oak Drive.
Lopez was found with a gunshot wound at around 10:30 p.m. at the Cashel Springs apartments, located at 14222 Wunderlich. He was quickly taken to a hospital but tragically died the following morning. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation, yet no suspects or clear motives have been established.
