HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, January 6, 2024 – A tragic accident occurred on E. Wallisville Road in Harris County, Texas, at approximately 6:26 PM, resulting in the death of an unidentified male motorcyclist. The individual was riding a white 2016 Yamaha dirt bike westbound in the number one lane of the 4200 block of E. Wallisville Road. An off-duty Liberty County Precinct 4 Deputy Constable, in a privately owned vehicle equipped with emergency lights and siren, was pursuing the motorcyclist, who may have been exceeding the speed limit.

At the same time, a driver in a blue 2001 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound, towing a flatbed trailer and preparing to turn left onto Haney Road. As the driver was completing this left turn, the motorcyclist entered the intersection and collided with the front right of the trailer. The impact caused the rider to be ejected from the motorcycle and become briefly airborne before landing on the roadway.

The injured motorcyclist was transported via Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating this incident.
