Teen Girl Killed in Houston Road Rage Incident

A road rage incident in downtown Houston on Sunday led to the fatal shooting of a teenage girl. Louise Jean Wilson, 17, was shot and killed in the early hours of Sunday morning while driving to Galveston with friends.

Houston police responded to the scene on the southbound lanes of the Pierce Elevated around 1:05 a.m., finding a car damaged by gunfire. Wilson, the driver, died at the scene. A 17-year-old male passenger was hospitalized with a gunshot wound but later released. A third person in the car was unharmed.

The incident reportedly began when Wilson inadvertently swerved in front of the gunman’s car. The suspect then fired into Wilson’s vehicle, fatally striking her, before fleeing the scene.

The Houston Police Department has released a description of the suspect, a Black male driving a dark-colored four-door sedan. They urge anyone with information to contact the HPD Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers
