HARRIS COUNTY – On Jan. 13, 2024, at around 10 p.m., a tragic incident occurred on the East Freeway near Sheldon in Harris County. According to police, an adult male pedestrian, while attempting to cross the freeway’s main lanes, was struck by a car, resulting in his death. There is a possibility that the pedestrian was hit by a second vehicle following the initial collision.
The driver of the first vehicle involved stayed at the scene and was determined not to be at fault with no signs of intoxication. Authorities are currently conducting a search for the second vehicle implicated in the secondary collision. Parts of a vehicle found at the scene are being utilized to aid in the ongoing investigation.
