Woman fatally shot at intersection before crashing into dumpster

HOUSTON, Texas – January 20, 2024 – A shooting at a traffic light in northwest Houston resulted in the death of a woman. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. at the intersection of North Houston Rosslyn and West Gulf Bank Road. After being shot, the driver lost control of her car, crashing into a dumpster in a nearby parking lot, according to the Houston Police Department (HPD).

The suspect may have been in a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck, but the motive for the shooting is currently unknown. The Houston Police Department stated that they are investigating whether the incident was a result of road rage or a targeted attack.

Witnesses at the scene promptly called for help, but the victim could not be saved. There was another woman in the car during the shooting; she was not injured.
