Man Dies After Driving to Gas Station Following Shooting

HOUSTON (February 11, 2024) Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting that left one man dead and another wounded early Sunday morning. The incident occurred at 3941 Fondren Road around 3:25 a.m.

Authorities found two males with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle that had crashed at the location. One victim believed to be in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The second victim, also in his 20s, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

The preliminary investigation suggests the victims were shot on nearby Bellflower Street by one or more suspects believed to be in a newer model, white Dodge Charger before crashing into a gate.

The driver then drove to the gas station at the address where the vehicle was found with the two victims inside.
