HOUSTON – Charges have been filed against Jeremy Scott Hartman, 19, in connection with a shooting that occurred on November 3, 2022, at approximately 9:40 p.m. at 8700 South Braeswood Boulevard. Hartman is charged with aggravated assault-serious bodily injury in the 178th State District Court. The incident left a 19-year-old male victim critically injured and hospitalized.

Houston Police Department (HPD) Major Assaults & Family Violence Division reported that HPD patrol officers, responding to a shooting call, found the victim inside a taco truck in a parking lot at the stated address. The victim had suffered a gunshot wound and was promptly transported to the hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

Investigations revealed that a dark gray, four-door Cadillac was involved in the incident, with an occupant firing shots into the taco truck before fleeing the scene. Surveillance photos of the vehicle were released to the public on November 8, 2022. Thanks to community tips, Hartman was identified as a possible suspect several weeks after the shooting.
