HOUSTON – Police responded to the 5900 block of Schroeder for a report of a shooting shortly around 1:30 a.m.
When police arrived, they discovered that a 16-year-old teen was shot in the hip at a house party with 30 or so friends in attendance.
The teen was transported to the hospital and is expected to be okay.
Police say that a couple of individuals who no one else seemed to know showed up at the party. An altercation broke out which led to the shooting.
Both rifle and pistol casings were found at the scene.
The suspects were described as Hispanic males and possibly fled in a blue Ford F-150 pickup truck.
