HARRIS COUNTY – March 16, 2024 – A pedestrian was struck and killed in the 3400 block of E Sam Houston Parkway North Friday evening.
The unidentified male pedestrian, who was crossing the northbound feeder road from east to west, failed to yield the right-of-way and was hit by the front left side of a Honda Ridgeline which was traveling northbound.
The driver remained on the scene and checked on the male but the male did not show any signs of life according to deputies. The driver then called 911.
Harris County Emergency Corps (HCEC) pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The driver was determined not to be intoxicated and was released from the scene.
