HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A deceased woman was found in a field by a landscape worker early this morning in northeastern Harris County.
The discovery was made around 7:35 a.m. when the worker, who was mowing the perimeter of the field, spotted the body of a female lying in the grass. He immediately contacted the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, and deputies confirmed that the woman was deceased upon arrival.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, there were no obvious signs of trauma, but the investigation is still in its early stages. The deceased is described as a white female, believed to be in her mid to late 20s or early 30s, with several visible tattoos. Investigators estimate that the body may have been at the location for one to two days but this is still to be confirmed by the medical examiners office.
Crime scene and homicide units are currently processing the scene, and investigators are reviewing video and other evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death. Deputies have not received any recent calls for service in the immediate area and are treating this case as an isolated incident.
