HOUSTON, TX – A man believed to be in his 50s was struck and killed by an SUV early Sunday morning at the intersection of Almeda Road and Almeda Plaza.
The accident occurred around 2:12 a.m. The male, who appeared to be homeless, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the SUV, a woman in her 30s, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the accident. It is not yet known if any charges will be filed, as the investigation is in its early stages.
