Police seek person of interest in fatal shooting of Johnny Felder; one suspect charged and arrested

HOUSTON, TX – Houston police are seeking a person of interest in the fatal shooting of 34-year-old Johnny Felder, who was found deceased at 7800 Tidwell Road around 7:30 p.m. on November 23. One suspect, Adrian Odell McGee, 22, has been charged with murder in the 351st State District Court and is currently in custody.

According to Houston Police Department Homicide Division detectives, officers responded to a shooting at the location and discovered Felder lying unresponsive between the street and the curb. He had been shot multiple times. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene. At the time of the incident, there were no known witnesses or suspects.

On December 6, surveillance photos of two persons of interest were released. One individual voluntarily provided a statement to detectives and was released without charges. Investigators are still seeking information on the second individual, whose photo is included below.

Further investigation led to McGee being identified as a suspect in the case. Prosecutors with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office filed charges after McGee, who was already in custody on an unrelated charge in the Harris County Jail, was linked to the murder.
