HARRIS COUNTY, TX – According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, deputies responded to a crash involving a train and a propane truck on Wednesday morning near the Hot Wells Shooting Range. The incident occurred in the 24800 block of Northwest Freeway (Highway 290).
Cy-Fair Fire Department crews were able to safely bleed the propane tank, and no fire was reported. Hazmat teams were disregarded following the assessment.
One person was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. The Texas Department of Public Safety Southeast Region will take the lead on the investigation.
Sheriff Gonzalez also commended all first responders for their efforts in managing the situation effectively.
