HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A fatal crash involving a white Honda Accord occurred in the northbound lanes of the 17300 block of the North Freeway around 2:38 a.m. Friday.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a witness reported that the Honda Accord, driven by an unknown Black male, was traveling at a high rate of speed while weaving in and out of traffic. The vehicle lost control, veered across all lanes, and struck the tree line on the grassy shoulder separating the main lanes from the service road.
The impact caused the vehicle to split in half, ejecting the driver into the roadway of the northbound service road. The driver sustained severe facial injuries, and positive identification is pending.
This crash remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
