HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A 45-year-old man remains hospitalized in critical condition after being shot by his son, identified as 21-year-old Adrian Duany Alvarez.
The shooting occurred in the 10200 block of Heather Hill Drive yesterday evening
According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, deputies responded to the sceneand found the father suffering from gunshot wounds. Preliminary information suggests the shooting stemmed from a dispute over money. After shooting his father, Adrian allegedly fired at another relative, who managed to escape unharmed.
Adrian then stole a relative’s vehicle at gunpoint and fled the scene. Deputies administered life-saving measures to the father before he was transported to a hospital.
Later, Adrian was located still driving the stolen vehicle. He led deputies on a pursuit, which ended with his arrest with the assistance of the Conroe Police Department.
Adrian is currently charged with two counts of aggravated assault and has been booked into the Harris County Jail.
