A man was fatally shot following a confrontation at an Exxon gas station in northwest Harris County, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
The shooting occurred in the 25900 block of Highway 290 at Spring Cypress. Authorities said an adult male approached another man in the parking lot for unknown reasons and continued to follow him around the premises. The man being followed then retrieved a pistol and shot the other male, striking him.
The wounded man was pronounced deceased at the scene. The alleged shooter remained at the location and is cooperating with investigators.
