HOUSTON, TX – A man was killed in a high-speed crash involving a Corvette late Friday night on the North Freeway.

The crash occurred around 11:49 p.m. on March 21, 2025, in the northbound lanes of the 23500 block of the North Freeway near Springwoods Village Parkway.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division, a male identified as Alexandro Aguilar was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Corvette when he failed to drive in a single lane and struck a concrete median wall. The vehicle flipped over, ripping open the convertible top.

Harris County ESD 11 EMS responded and found Aguilar with no signs of life at approximately 12:08 a.m. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminary findings indicate the Corvette was possibly traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash. The case remains active and under investigation.
