Photos: Overnight storms flood streets, submerge vehicles in East Houston

HOUSTON, TX – Heavy overnight storms caused major street flooding across EaDo making roads impassable.

Two vehicles were found submerged in an underpass on Polk Street near Milby. It is believed that all occupants were able to exit safely.
METRO light rail tracks on Harrisburg Boulevard were completely covered by floodwaters, as well as the street. Several cars did make it through these waters.
