HOUSTON, TX – A man was shot and killed outside his family’s home in the 7100 block of Sonnet Glen around 12:43 a.m this morning.
Deputies responded to a call for service and found a 36-year-old male unresponsive with a gunshot wound. EMS personnel arrived and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
According to investigators, the victim’s parents were inside the home when they heard a gunshot. They discovered him lying in the walkway leading to the front entrance.
The victim lived at the residence with his parents and several other relatives. A red vehicle was seen leaving the area immediately after the shooting.
A search warrant is being obtained for the residence to assist in the ongoing investigation. It is currently unknown whether the victim was targeted or if the shooting was random.
There is no indication of an immediate threat to the community.
