HOUSTON, TX – A male motorcyclist was pronounced deceased following a crash involving a dirt bike and a pickup truck at the intersection of Greens Road and Gears Road.
The collision occurred around 9:30 p.m. Preliminary information indicates the pickup truck was traveling westbound on Gears Road and attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Greens Road when it collided with a dirt bike traveling eastbound.
The rider was ejected and struck a separate vehicle that was stopped at the light. CPR was administered at the scene, but the rider was pronounced deceased shortly afterward. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Witnesses reported that one of the vehicles may have run the red light, but investigators are reviewing surveillance footage to determine the circumstances.
