HARRIS COUNTY, TX – One man was killed and another injured following a shooting late Saturday night near the intersection of Clay Road and State Highway 6.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of SH 6. Deputies responded to an in-progress call and located two male gunshot victims. One was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS, while the second was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A third male, who was driving the vehicle, was detained at the scene.
Deputies determined that the three individuals were at a hotel approximately one mile away when they encountered at least one suspect who opened fire on their vehicle. The group fled to the State Highway 6 location in an attempt to escape the gunfire.
The suspect was described only as a male wearing dark clothing and a mask. No credible vehicle information is currently available.
