SLIDELL, LA – A man was fatally shot near Possum Hollow Park shortly after 5:00 p.m., according to the Slidell Police Department.

Officers responded to the area following multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire. Upon arrival, they located a victim suffering from several gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
