Man fatally shot on Sunflower Street in southeast Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A man was fatally shot in the 4800 block of Sunflower Street in southeast Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The shooting was reported around 9:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the Houston Fire Department on scene treating the victim. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Police said they currently have no witnesses or suspect information and are asking anyone with details to come forward. The scene is located about 0.7 miles from a separate fatal shooting earlier on Clover Street, but investigators do not believe the two incidents are related at this time.
