MARIANNA, AR – The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning at the corner of Alabama and Chestnut streets.
According to the Marianna Police Department, officers responded around 12:44 a.m. on November 9, 2025, after multiple 911 calls reported gunfire in the parking lot of a convenience store at the intersection. Upon arrival, officers found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Ethan Martin, 20, of Marianna, was pronounced deceased by the Lee County Coroner while being transported to a medical facility. A 27-year-old Marianna man was taken to Regional One Health in Memphis with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim’s body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for determination of the exact cause and manner of death.
