Leo Flores sought as person of interest in fatal shooting of Jermaine Fields at Ashford Stancliff Park Apartments

HOUSTON, TX – A man was found shot and killed inside an apartment, and police are now searching for a person of interest in the case.

The shooting occurred around 10:50 p.m. at the Ashford Stancliff Park Apartments, located at 10350 Lands End Drive on January 27, 2026.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call at the location and found a male suffering from a gunshot wound inside an apartment. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene.

The victim was identified as 20-year-old Jermaine Fields.

Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots and seeing four to six unknown males fleeing the area shortly after the shooting.

Investigators with the Houston Police Department Homicide Division later identified 20-year-old Leo Flores as a person of interest. Police stated Flores has not been charged.
