HOUSTON, TX – A man sitting on a curb was struck and killed by a vehicle in southeast Houston.
The crash occurred around 10:20 p.m. in the 5400 block of Selinsky Road.
According to the Houston Police Department, patrol officers responded to an auto-pedestrian crash involving one vehicle and one pedestrian. The driver, described as a Black male in his mid-30s, remained at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication.
The victim, described as a white male in his mid-30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A witness told police the man had been sitting on the curb and attempted to get him out of the roadway prior to the crash. Investigators noted the area is not well-lit.
