Fire at concrete mixing facility leaves firefighter injured in northwest Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A firefighter was injured after a fire involving containers carrying tires and vehicles broke out overnight at a concrete mixing facility in northwest Harris County.

According to the Northwest Volunteer Fire Department, crews responded to the facility on Veterans Memorial and found a large fire and requested tankers due to a lack of nearby hydrants.

One firefighter sustained a burn injury, was treated at the scene, and released. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
