According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, witnesses reported hearing a male and female arguing shortly before a gunshot was heard. Witnesses then observed a dark-colored vehicle leaving the area.
A female later returned to the scene in a dark-colored vehicle and told deputies she was present when the victim was shot. Investigators said the female is approximately 17 years old and may have been involved in the shooting.
The shooting occurred in the parking lot near the entrance of The Henry at Woodland Hills apartments. Detectives have not located a firearm and are continuing to collect ballistic evidence.
Investigators believe the victim and the female may have been involved in some type of dating relationship, although that has not yet been confirmed.
