HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police raided La Toxica Strip Club in east Houston early this morning after receiving complaints about alleged illegal activity at the business.

The raid occurred around 1 a.m. at La Toxica, located in the 12910 block of the East Freeway.

According to the Houston Police Department, complaints over the past several months included allegations of prostitution, illegal alcohol sales, narcotics use, and other offenses. Members of the Houston Police Department Northeast Division, Vice Division, and the Texas Comptroller’s Office executed a search warrant at the club.

Police said more than a dozen dancers were found working inside the business. Investigators were working with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to determine possible charges.

During the search, officers recovered narcotics, illegal alcohol, tobacco products, and vape products that were not permitted.

Multiple people were detained, including individuals believed to be part of management.

The investigation is ongoing.
