HOUSTON — A woman was killed in a crash on the Eastex Freeway frontage road just before 9 p.m.

According to the Houston Police Department, preliminary information indicates the crash occurred when a vehicle was exiting the main lanes of the Eastex Freeway onto the frontage road and collided with the victim, who was in a moving lane of traffic.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police said there were no signs of intoxication at the scene.
The deceased is believed to be a female. Her identity has not yet been confirmed, and the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify her and notify next of kin.
The investigation remains ongoing.
